KTSC receives new sales leadership

Knoxville Tourism and Sports Corporation (KTSC) announced today that the company has hired Meg Caldwell to fill the position of senior director of sales.

Caldwell's start date at KTSC is Aug. 4, 2008. She comes to Knoxville from Mobile, Ala., where she served as the national sales manager of the city's convention & visitor's bureau. Her responsibilities included prospecting, marketing and securing convention and sports definite bookings.

"The KTSC is a strong progressive organization that will provide me the opportunity and challenge to grow both personally and professionally. Knoxville is a beautiful city close to many natural wonders. We look forward to raising our son there," Caldwell said.

"The KTSC feels that Meg Caldwell will be a great asset to not only our company, but also to Knoxville. We are confident that she will help prospect and generate new business in the area," said Kim Paul, senior vice president of sales & marketing.

Caldwell received a bachelor of science in therapeutic recreation from the University of South Alabama in 1998. She has been in the hospitality industry since 1999.

Caldwell will be moving to Knoxville with her husband Bryan, two-year old son Braeden, dog Ragu and their two cats, Mia and Tiberius.
