UT Football is a great way to spend an autumn day: enjoying the smell of charcoal grills, seeing the colorful leaves create a soft bed on the grass, and of course being in a sea of orange and cheering on your favorite football team. Go Vols!
Football not your thing? The Knoxville Ice Bears Hockey team will absolutely provide you with an exciting experience you won’t forget. The hockey season runs October through March.

Market Square is Knoxville’s most unique and vibrant collection of restaurants, boutiques, galleries, antique stores and nightclubs located in restored, turn-of-the-century office buildings and warehouses which provide a lively place for both locals and visitors to shop, dine and be entertained. Be sure to check out the First Friday events on the first Friday of each month and the Farmer’s Market every Wednesday and Saturday through Nov. 21.
Trick or Treat? Boo! At the Zoo is Knoxville’s largest Halloween event and takes place Oct. 22-25 at the Knoxville Zoo. It is a fun chance for children to see animals while trick-or-treating down the zoo’s Halloween trail. So much to see, so much to zoo!
Sway to the Music! During the first Wednesday of each month, experience Tennessee Shines, a face-paced, multi-artist show held at downtown Knoxville’s historic Bijou Theatre and broadcast live on award-winning radio station, WDVX. This unique concert showcases music from the Appalachian Foothills to the Mississippi Delta and beyond, by nationally recognized artists as well as up-and-coming artists who reflect the region’s varied artistic culture. Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Jim Lauderdale hosts the shows and joins the performers for one-of-a-kind collaborations.
