Fun With Farragut's Fleet
Farragut Town Hall
Aug 23rd, 2008
The Town of Farragut will sponsor the 7th annual Fun With Farragut's Fleet on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Farragut Town Hall. The Town will give out a limited number of visors to participating children; families are encouraged to arrive early.
This community event gives children the opportunity to see, touch and climb on a variety of trucks and equipment used by the Town of Farragut, Knoxville Rescue Squad, Knox County Sheriff's Department and Rural/Metro Inc., including a dump truck, fire engine, backhoe and skid steer loader. Town of Farragut Public Works and Leisure Services staff members as well as representatives from the Rescue Squad, Sheriff's Department and Rural/Metro will be available to explain how the equipment is used and to answer any questions.
In addition, kids will have the chance to make and take home their own fire truck, and light refreshments will be served.
Fun with Farragut's Fleet is free and open to the public. The Farragut Town Hall is located at 11408 Municipal Center Drive, across from the Farragut Branch Post Office. In case of inclement weather, call 966-2420 for the status of the event. For more information, call Anne LaGrow at 966-7057.
