July is an awesome time to visit the East Tennessee region and we look forward to having you in town for this incredible event!
Please use the information listed below to assist you in planning your visit to Knoxville.
We hope you will plan some extra time in our great city to enjoy all that we have to offer. Just a few of the fun activities planned for you while you are in town…
…We will have a custom quilt window dressing contest designed and presented by our area merchant; there will be a “Step Back In Time” Progressive Dinner to some our historic home museums that will include quilt displays and, of course there are always some great themed river cruises on either our authentic sternwheeler riverboat, The Star of Knoxville, or the gorgeous river yacht, The Volunteer Princess.
If you need some additional help after arriving, stop by our Knoxville Visitor Center to enjoy a cup of gourmet coffee, tap your toes to free live music performances on our stage each day at noon and pick up some uniquely Knoxville souvenirs.

How to Get There?
If you are staying downtown, just hop on one of Knoxville’s complimentary trolley’s and head over to the convention center. If you are driving in or staying in one of our great perimeter properties, we have made “getting there” a little easier for you this year with the AQS Express Shuttle! Parking has been arranged at the Civic Coliseum, just a few blocks away for $5, with all day in & out privileges, and the AQS Express Shuttle takes you straight to the front door & brings you back to your car for $1 each time you board. Or you might want to purchase an event pass for $5, which will provide you with unlimited rides during event week.

Window Dressing Contest -
The applications are in and we have 21 locations participating in this year’s AQS Window Dressing Contest! Participants will have their displays up from July 1-31, 2010, with judging and awards taking place the week of July 13-17, 2010. Please go out and see all of our participants by downloading the map below. We appreciate all of our participants, judges and quilters who have loaned their quilts out to make this such a success.

Relaxation Station
Be sure to visit the Relaxation Station on the Clinch Concourse in the Knoxville Convention Center to pamper yourself with a massage. Event massage will be provided by Massage Associates from 11:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday Thru Friday, July 14-16. Chair massage and foot massage will be offered in 10 minute sessions for $10 each (cash or check only). Sign-up sheets will be available on site to book your session in advance. Cyber Café
Need to check your email or make your room reservations for 2011? The Cyber Café will be located in the Business Center inside the Knoxville Convention Center (corner of Henley & Clinch Ave). Please note that sessions are limited to 10 minutes each.
Men’s Den
Located in the Knoxville Convention Center on the Henley Concourse, the Men’s Den will be a relaxation area for all men attending the show. There will be comfortable massage chairs, daily newspapers, cards and checkers available to help you pass the time. The Men’s Den will be open the same hours as the exhibit hall.
Knox Info Booth
Knoxville Information Booths will be located at various locations throughout the Knoxville Convention Center, as well as on the show floor. Be sure to stop by for Knoxville Visitor Guides, maps, attraction & restaurant information and Experience Knoxville Value Cards that provide discounts for you while visiting Knoxville.
